Angie Argabrite
Senior Vice President, Head of Editorial Services

Angie was hired in 2010 to lead @havaspr’s editorial department and is on point for all the agency’s editorial output, from press releases, white papers and new-business pitches to trend pieces, op-eds and CEO speeches. She spent 14 years working for properties of Aol and/or Time Warner. Directly before joining @havaspr, Angie served as programming director for Aol, where she oversaw content creation for two of Aol’s largest properties as well as related sites and blogs in the U.S. and abroad. She was managing editor and features editor for Moviefone.com, copy editor for Entertainment Weekly, then staff editor at EW.com. Among her other publishing experience, she conceived and executed the highly regarded collection Girls: An Anthology (Global City Press). Angie received a bachelor’s degree in humanities/writing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a William E. Brock Scholar.


Susan Carey
Vice President of Finance

Susan began her career in the Havas network as an intern at Comart-KLP (sales promotion agency) and within several years was promoted to controller of Euro RSCG NA. In 1995, she joined LMP to oversee financial operations of PResence, a joint venture of CDB and LMP. Susan helped start up Managed Edge and oversaw financial operations of PeerMed (MedEd). She has held various senior finance roles at Honeywell’s Security Group, Adecco Worldwide and Weber Shandwick Worldwide and returned to Euro RSCG (now Havas) from overseeing finance and administrative operations for Medicus LifeBrands at Publicis Healthcare Group. She graduated from Baruch College with a B.B.A. in accounting.


John Casey

Among other duties, John is managing global PR work for the United Nations Foundation’s two-year project to boost awareness and understanding of climate change problems, an account he was instrumental in winning. John comes from freshfluff, a PR/social media agency he founded. Before that, he was a senior PR/media relations director for Toys “R” Us, Sears, Kmart and Macy’s; held supervisory roles at Porter Novelli and Ruder Finn; and was a press secretary on Capitol Hill for a congressman on the House Interior, Labor and Foreign Affairs committees. John has successfully led PR/social media campaigns in public affairs and cause, entertainment, technology, consumer/retail, books, movies and more, with experience handling crisis, regulatory and governmental issues, and product recalls. He is also a leading authority on promoting mobile apps, has written articles that have appeared in industry-leading journals and websites, and was invited to participate in Apple’s weeklong Worldwide Developers Conference in 2012.


Susan English

Susan joined @havaspr in 1999 and currently works on Transitions Optical and PPG Industries business. She provides strategic counsel and planning and has helped clients initiate programs in new areas, such as managed care, clinical research and education, corporate giving and multicultural marketing. Her team’s results for Transitions Optical have been recognized with national awards for 10 years in a row. Past clients include Carrier, Bayer, Heinz U.S.A. and American Eagle Outfitters. Susan began her career as a TV reporter for the CBS station in Waco/Temple/Killeen, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in journalism and a business foundations certification.


Janene Ferrara
Executive Vice President and Global Head of Healthcare

Janene oversees the @havaspr healthcare practice (offices in New York and London). She has an expertise in developing, launching and managing client programs that consistently increase brand visibility. Before serving as SVP in
the Healthcare Practice at Marina Maher Communications, Janene oversaw its Healthcare Media Department. Clients have included Sanofi, GSK, Pfizer Nutrition, Millennium, Salix, QMed, Visioncare, Pfizer and Novo Nordisk. Janene was a media specialist at the Chandler Chicco Agency, garnering national placements in business, trade and consumer media outlets, and she worked in media relations and account management roles at Cohn & Wolfe, Vorhaus & Co. and the National Archives & Records Administration. Janene has a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Long Island University and a B.A. in English from SUNY Geneseo.


Julie Hall
Managing Director, New England

Julie leads Havas PR New England from the Boston office. With more than 20 years of PR and marketing expertise, Julie has created award-winning programs for global brands and companies like Baskin-Robbins, Colgate-Palmolive, Crayola, Dunkin Donuts, General Mills, Gillette, Hasbro, McDonald’s, Subway, Sears Holdings and Woolite, among many others. Before joining Havas PR, she held leadership positions at Cone, MSL and Weber Shandwick, and most recently she spent 11 years as a partner at Boston-based boutique agency Schneider Associates, where she led strategy and thought leadership surrounding social media and launches. Julie co-wrote The New Launch Plan: 152 Tips, Tactics and Trends from the Most Memorable New Products. She has been published in Harvard Business Review and named one of the Top PR Practitioners to Follow on Twitter. Julie is a graduate of Providence College and Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) and Key Executives programs.


Terese Kelly

Terese has been in the PR industry for more than 15 years, most recently at DiGennaro Communications, where she worked on such B2B marketing accounts as BzzAgent, G2 USA and MKTG INC. She has also served as director of PR for House Party, an activation and experiential marketing company, overseen the PR division at Aspen Marketing Services and been an account director at Vorhaus & Co. Terese has worked with brands from Kraft Foods, Microsoft Xbox and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey to Schwan’s, Domino’s and Bertolli Olive Oil. She also helped launch Five Point Snacks; at least 11 percent of company profits are donated to organizations that benefit veterans. Placement highlights over her career include Advertising Age, Adweek, Drug Store News, Fox Business News, Mediapost, New York Daily News, The New York Times, “Rachael Ray,” USA Today and The Wall Street Journal. Terese graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in journalism.


Shazzia Khan

Shazzia oversees talent acquisition and development strategies for the Havas PR and Havas Health networks. She previously worked on the account management side for brands such as Maxwell House (Ogilvy & Mather), Snapple (Deutsch) and Jockey International (Grey). Shazzia grew up in Brooklyn, earned her B.B.A. at Hofstra University, and has lived in Paris and Milan.

Karina Meckel

Karina helps enhance strategic processes agencywide. She co-leads The Sisterhood initiative, acts as a media spokesperson for @havaspr with Marian Salzman, and leads the account teams for Chiquita and Coty. One of the fastest-rising strategic planners in our company’s history, Karina joined as a junior planner in 2004, then quickly rose to lead planner on the Nestlé Frozen Foods business and planner on the Charles Schwab business; she also worked on the Reckitt Benckiser account. Karina is a graduate of Brown University.


Courtney Myers

Courtney has played an integral role on the Transitions Optical, Bayer Plastic and Polyurethanes Division, Carrier and PPG Industries accounts. She has also assisted with programs for General Nutrition Centers and Heinz and helped win six awards related to the launch of Transitions Optical’s next-generation photochromic lenses and several Silver Anvil Awards of Excellence. Courtney is a Carnegie Mellon graduate with a bachelor’s in industrial design and minors in psychology and fine arts.


Ana Nennig

Ana capitalizes on 14 years of experience to provide strategic counsel across all practice areas. Based in Chicago, she pioneers the planning and execution of digital programs for the agency’s marquee clients. She was brought on in 2005 to establish agency core competency in the new media/interactive advertising online space. Before @havaspr, Ana worked with Fleishman-Hillard, providing counsel to Yahoo, Hasbro, Visa, Dunkin’ Donuts and others. Her experience includes public relations for id Software, Ensemble Studios, Sony, Dell, Nortel Networks and Microsoft. Ana is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington.


Marian Salzman

Named one of the world’s top five trendspotters, Marian has managed trendspotters around the globe for 16-plus years. She launched the word metrosexual into pop culture in 2003. Before leading @havaspr, Marian was CMO at Porter Novelli, CMO at JWT Worldwide, chief strategy officer at Euro RSCG Worldwide, worldwide director of TBWA’s Department of the Future and director of consumer insights and emerging media at Chiat\Day, where she co-founded Cyberdialogue—the world’s first online market research company—in 1992 with Jay Chiat. Currently chairman of the Havas PR global collective, she also advises the Berlin School of Creative Leadership’s M.B.A. program and is a member of the mentoring board of Brown University’s Women in Business. Marian graduated from Brown with top honors. She is the author or co-author of 15 books including Next Now and The Future of Men.


Pattie Sullivan

Pattie has been with the agency for 16 years. From ketchup and polyurethanes to nutritional supplements and process control systems, Pattie has applied her strategic counsel, media insight and award-winning writing to clients in diverse industries. She has worked with the American Chemistry Council, Bayer, Filene’s Basement, GNC, Heinz North America, Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions and PerkinElmer. In 2009, she was named PR Practitioner of the Year by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Business Marketing Association. Pattie began her career as a reporter at Pittsburgh Business Times, then was editor at Industry.net Report. Freelance stories have appeared in Advertising Age and a Pittsburgh business magazine. She graduated cum laude from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s in journalism and minor in business.


Jody Sunna

Jody has been with @havaspr since 2009 and has a strong, 10-year background in working with leading retail, consumer and lifestyle brands. She has managed the agency’s corporate and consumer work for Coty Inc., as well as consumer programs for Pernod Ricard’s ODDKA Vodka by Wyborowa and Ford Motor Co.’s Warriors in Pink. Jody has also led retail campaigns for Sears Holdings (Sears and Kmart), Office Depot and GameStop. As a leader of strategic and tactical efforts for programs benefiting military heroes, pet adoption and healthy kids, among others, she knows the value of cause marketing. Jody has managed social media and digital campaigns and launched products for companies including ODDKA Vodka by Wyborowa, Purina, Quiznos and vitaminwater. Before joining @havaspr, Jody worked at Stanton Crenshaw Communications and at Kelliher Samets Volk, a boutique marketing and PR firm in Burlington, Vt. Jody is a graduate of Purdue University.


Ravi Sunnak

Ravi joined @havaspr in 2013 to head the agency’s corporate and cause business. Ravi has 10 years of experience in corporate and cause communications, specializing in providing senior-level strategic counsel and tactical implementation for the public and private sector. He has advised CEOs of everything from Fortune 500 companies to tech startups on profiling and positioning; worked in a variety of sectors including financial services, leisure, retail and sustainability; and was global lead for The Economist Intelligence Unit. Ravi has a wealth of experience in government, working with organizations such as the U.K.’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Think London, the State of Qatar, Chengdu municipal government and the government of Mauritius. Before joining @havaspr, he set up Grayling’s new corporate communications practice in New York after almost five years in its London office. Ravi graduated with a degree in law from University London College, London.


Samira Thabet

Samira, who leads and serves as counsel on multiple health and wellness accounts at @havaspr, has 18 years of experience directing healthcare PR and marketing communications for national and international organizations. She has both agency and corporate experience. Samira previously served as senior vice president of healthcare at Weber Shandwick and was with Chandler Chicco Agency, where she provided strategic direction and managed accounts for global pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Her clients have included Sanofi, Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Novartis, Genentech, GlaxoSmithKline, Lilly, Daiichi Sankyo and Ortho-McNeil, among others. She has expertise in a range of therapeutic areas including diabetes, cardiology, neuroscience/mental illness, rheumatology, respiratory, infectious disease and women’s health. Samira is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in public relations from its school of journalism.
